Jesus, two amazing rappers in one day. Kriminology hailing from the famous Johhny J “Da Promoter”, and Jay Burna hailing from not-so-famous (no hate intended, but the dude got mad skills) DJ Hi-Def. Both are HIF friends and i decided to throw both of their names up onto the HIF Affiliated Artist list. If you are a fan of Down South Original Music (im talking about SUC Click & Screw shit), check out Kriminology. If you love the urban West Coast type flow, check out Jay Burna!

Jay Burna

JAY BURNA

“Im the heart of the city” quotes the 19 year old rapper. Hailing from the streets of Inglewood, California, Jude “Jay Burna” Francois calls himself “The Beast,” who’s hungry for the music industry. Spending majority of his time in the studio, Jay Burna refers to the booth as his confession room and his audience as his priest.”My music is a journey through my life, where i cater to every soul, not just the hood, Jay Burna uses his expressive lyrics to clearly paint the vivid pictures of his troubled childhood and overcoming, the deaths of his best friend and grandmother. With almost nothing or no one else to turn to, he began to pursue his rap career. His music defines him; bold, genuine, and talented, his music and vocals none like others, Jay Burna, calls his music, “music that makes sense”.”People say I’m weird, I say they’re to use to normal”. His diversity in flows also allows him to bless us with club bangers and love songs for the ladies, his aggressiveness, passion, and energy are reasons why he would be a great aspect to any label. Burna has lived up to his name as the Broward County Beast, murdering, performances, freestlyes, and tracks! His mixtape “Im A Beast” is only a preview of great music to come. Dont be fooled by Burna’s signature (Im Gone), because he presence will be felt for a long time. Now residing in Ft. Lauderdale, his new home, Jay Burna has great plans for his city, “I’m ready to put Lauderdale on the map!!!”

KRIMINOLOGY

Raised by a family coming from Mexico with almost nothing but pride and hard work, its hard to believe that 17 years later Jose Poblano would be pursuing his dream of making music, let alone rap music. Born in Dallas, Texas but raised in the southwest side of Houston, Texas life wasn’t easy growing up. “I remember my cousin Antonio was the first person to show me rap music period I still remember he was listening to Eazy E,” said Jose. Later the independent rap scene would flood the Houston streets wit the Legendary DJ Screw and Screwed Up Click (S.U.C.) taking their futures in there own hands by creating their own sound. “They were just freestyling and having fun on these tapes so when me and my boys would hang out I just started freestyling too,” said Jose. Making cassettes at home and winning freestyle contests at local hot spots assisted with quickly giving him a name. “I actually took on the name Kriminal because of alotta trouble I was getting into as a youngster and my boss at Burger King was the first to call me Kriminal,” said Jose. Later on, Juan Martinez AKA “Braze” told him that he was an aspiring artist himself, therefore they connected right away. “Braze” being in the rap game tested young Kriminal inviting him into his studio and put him on the spot and recorded a whole CD. “I remember going to his shop the next day looking in the glass case seeing a CD with my face on it Braze telling me he’d been selling them all day and people were loving it”. While hustling these CD’s, the duo ran into hustlers pursuing the same goal known as Hata Proof. C.E.O. of Hata Proof Records, Big Cease saw the hunger in the two and they began working as a team. Years later after many ups and downs, smiles and frowns, they still stand tall together accomplishing goals. “I always believed in myself and always told myself trying is better then not trying, when you don’t try you’ve already lost,” said Jose. Kriminology now is Under  Out Da Nawf Ent / BlockStar Promo.

Hear-It-First.net’s first post was created on March 3rd, 2008.

Wow, so one year (and three days) ago Me and Raimann started this site in hopes that we could bring something new to the blogging scene, and bring all of the newest music to one dope spot for your convenience. After a year of a LOT of dedication and countless hours wasted in front of our computer screens, we are still growing and plan to keep on growing for years to come. With the help of DJ EMI, and prevoius admins this site has grown far larger than we ever hoped, and we have done things that we never thought possible. So thank you everyone for the support, the hits, and any time you ever told a friend about the site. We still have far more to improve on, and any ideas are always welcome from everyone.

P.S. If you’re wondering about the layout I was so pumped about a couple weeks ago, I actually did purchase a new layout and had every intent on having it up asap, but it doesn’t look nearly as good as promised and was a complete waste of money lol. I’m still working on finding a designer, just have patience! I have some big affiliations coming up soon so watch out for those!

A few special shoutouts I wanna make for some people that really showed some major love when we were still a small and unknown site.

Obese (It’s Another One! Oh wait… Now it’s UHTN haha.)
Buck Marley (The admin that got away)
Massive Trip (King Of These Blends!)
Scherrell Birchfield
(High Maintenance Ent!)
Crew54 (Funniest dudes on the planet haha)
Bruce Almighty (Thrilla Ent!)
Bobby (Most affordable hosting on the web!)
Fluent Flo (4SK1)

Theres definitely a lot more of you, but these people really helped us out from the very beginning and they are forever HIF Family!

Raimann Edit: Hehe, i cant tell you how many hours i wasted on this site, getting made fun of, making mixtapes and posting music and random shit. I wouldnt give any of that up. Happy 1 Year Anniversary

MidniTe & the staff!
